The Acne Antidote E-Book
The Comprehensive Guide To Curing Acne In Enhanced And Non-Enhanced Athletes
If you're like me, you probably thought you'd leave bad skin behind you as a distant memory of puberty and teenage years, not having to deal with it in your 20s, 30s and beyond?
Spots. Pimples. Acne. Whatever it's called, we certainly don't want to be dealing with it as adults.
Plus, for those suffering with acne, dealing with bad skin is one of the biggest insecurities they can have about the way they look. It can have serious implications for their mental health, stress levels, general well-being and in a 2021 review was shown to even significantly increase suicide risk.
Altogether acne and bad skin can have a huge negative impact in our lives, when we would rather be dealing with other, more important priorities.
Having spoken with hundreds of men and women, I have seen how it can negatively impact their lives, and I know there are a lot more people who feel the same way, often without any hope of a solution, due to horrendous waiting times from doctors and dermatologists, or due to excessive costs for private treatment.
I've personally dealt with moderate-to-severe acne as a teenager and more recently from the use of Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs), which led me to dive into the research and realise that the majority of the information we are told by skincare companies isn't particularly helpful, actionable or effective.
And if you want to go through your medical doctor, this can often take months and months of waiting only to be given a basic face wash, and if you consider private medical care it can set you back hundreds of pounds again without a guarantee of positive results.
My aim with this book is to look at the science of why we get acne and bad skin, cut through the myths, and provide practical solutions for enhanced and non-enhanced athletes so that they can finally feel confident with their skin, reduce their stress and improve their well-being.
